Healing Testimony
After being cast in a film, Carolina faced an unexpected challenge: just two days before shooting, she woke up feeling ill and without a voice. Needing a quick healing of illness, she turned to prayer—the approach she trusts when difficulties arise.

Quick Healing of Illness

Every time that I’m faced with a challenge, that being a physical challenge or a mental challenge of any sort, I really like to turn to prayer for answers and for healing. As an example of that, I was once cast in a film, but a couple days before the shoot, I woke up feeling unwell and without a voice. I was, of course, pretty worried about it because I had been so excited about the fact that I was going to have my first leading role in a film since I moved to LA.
So I reached out to a Christian Science Practitioner, who is a person there to pray for you and help you with challenges – physical challenges, any challenges you might be facing – through prayer. I turned to this practitioner to ask for prayerful support. And in our conversation, we talked about gratitude and recognizing that God’s love was ever-present, always surrounding me, always taking care of me, and that He wouldn’t give me an opportunity like that and then take it away from me. I felt really grounded in that idea that God was ever-present and I was the image and likeness of God.
The day of the shoot, I woke up still feeling a little unwell. My voice was back but not quite 100%. But I just decided to not look at the material picture, to really turn to God and really hold onto him, and that he was guiding me and protecting me all the way and giving me everything I needed to do.
So I drove to the set and as I was getting ready, I wanted to ask people about my voice, if they noticed my voice was not so good, and they basically said they didn’t notice any difference in my voice. So I filmed that day and we had a good time filming. And the next day on set, I was just so immersed in that love and that gratitude in knowing that I was everything I needed to be.
Everything went really well that day. We filmed so well. I didn’t feel ill anymore. I was so excited about how amazing the shoot had gone. And I realized that I had had a full healing, and all of that without the help of any external thing outside of just prayer, turning to prayer and turning to God. So I’m really grateful for that.
