Biennial Regional Meetings in Five Locations

This announcement is designed to provide flexibility for each region to insert date, time, church or
society name and address for its area’s meeting. It is suggested that the flyer be available from late August
(first meeting is September 12th ) to the last meeting on November 1st . Announcements are most helpful
beginning two to three weeks before each meeting, depending on your local practices.

Option 1 – Imagine exploring Christian Science for the first time! Would you engage on a website,
social media, YouTube, the 24/7 phone line, or Spanish radio station? All these avenues are
available and work together to provide the seeker with information designed to provide
encouragement, help, and healing ideas. For you to learn about the impact of these
activities and how AI is changing the landscape, to learn about youth activities and plans for
the 2028 LA Olympics and Paralympics, come on (insert day, date, time and place with
address). Presented by The Christian Science Joint Media Committee of Southern
California, the meetings will last about an hour and fifteen minutes. Slides and videos offer
a lively and engaging format. Again, come on (insert day, date, time and location again).
Pick up a flyer (tell where, table, lobby, RR) for a schedule of the five regional dates and locations.”

Option 2 – Everyone is invited on (give day, date, time and location). Come and learn how our SoCal
Joint Media Committee reaches and blesses the public—and supports our churches, Reading
Rooms, Sunday Schools, and lectures. See firsthand what our joint outreach is
accomplishing, hear what’s ahead, and learn how you and your church can be part of
it. Meetings will last about an hour and fifteen minutes, with light refreshments. Flyers are
in the foyer with all five regional meetings listed,

TMC College Summit – October 23 – 25

Registration is now open for a weekend COLLEGE SUMMIT sponsored by The Mother Church October 23rd through 25th at Principia College. College students across the country are planning a fun and inspiring weekend. To register, go to ChristianScience.com/Summit.

As part of its youth outreach, the Christian Science Joint Media Committee of SoCal is offering free airfare to St. Louis for college students, recent grads, and high school juniors and seniors. Airfare will also be provided for approved chaperones accompanying high school students. Replay of 30-minute Web Talk Available 24/7

You are invited to watch a replay of a 30-minute talk on Effective Prayer by Bobby Lewis. The talk is designed for young people, but his engaging message will bless everyone. Go to the young people section on our SoCal website, PrayerThatheals.org/YP, to watch 24/7, and share the link with family and friends. Bobby Lewis is a Christian Science practitioner from Colorado and member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

College-focused Sentinel – July 20

Looking for a way to connect with college students and young adults? With articles
written by and for college students, the July 20 th Christian Science Sentinel addresses
topics such as AI, relationships, and purpose. Available to everyone on July 20th, listen
or read the issue online at cssentinel.com or purchase a print copy at the Reading
Room. This July 20th issue has a vitality and freshness that will appeal to all readers
and listeners.

Desk Announcement for World Cup Prayer Watch

Support Our 2026 World Cup Outreach

Christian Scientists across Southern California are preparing a prayerful outreach effort for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Los Angeles. We are seeking volunteers and financial support to help share a message of peace, unity, and healing with visitors from around the world.

Volunteer opportunities are available on June 18 and July 2 near SoFi Stadium, with possible outreach in Venice Beach July 10–11. For more information or to sign up for the prayer watch, go to PrayerThatHeals.org/PrayerWatch or email CS4LAGames@gmail.com.

Los Angeles will be a hub for the World Cup games in June and July, with practices and fan events throughout Southern California. You can help support the athletes, international visitors, and host communities by joining our World Cup Prayer Watch.

4th Sunday Church Services in Orange County 2026

Enjoy loving camaraderie at Christian Science services in Orange County throughout 2026. Every month, on the fourth Sunday, you and your friends will have the opportunity to visit a different Orange County Christian Science Church for an afternoon service at 4:00 p.m. Pick up the colorful flyer each month with that month’s information, and on the back is a schedule for the entire year. Come for the service, the music, the fellowship! The afternoon service is a repetition of the morning service.

The first/next service is (fill in the date and location listed on the back of the event flyer) Sunday, February 22nd at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Newport Beach. There will be refreshments, and following the service, the Reading Room will also be open. See you on the 22nd (insert date), and don’t forget to get a flyer!

Meeting friends and community in an atmosphere of love and acceptance is a cherished part of Christian Science church services. During 2026, on the fourth Sunday of each month, one Christian Science Church in Orange County will host an afternoon service at 4:00 p.m. We invite you to pick up a flyer and join in any or all of these one-hour services. Each church in Orange County has committed to hosting an afternoonservice on the 4th Sunday of the month that they have chosen so everyone can get to know each other better throughout the year, a goal established by the OC Churches Planning Committee. Reading Room. Today, our members invite you to join us for refreshments on the deck following the service, and then tour our

(Use if applicable) You have undoubtedly noticed our Zoom screen which we use for every service. On Wednesday evenings, those on Zoom may also offer testimonies by raising the hand icon on their screen for our Reader to see and call on them. Again, welcome to (Insert name of church)!

Science and Health

(1) While Jesus Christ performed countless healings, many recorded in the New Testament of The Bible, he didn’t leave any written rules on how the healings were performed.  Mary Baker Eddy’s book – Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures – laid out guidance for how to heal the way Jesus did, and it became the basis for the Christian Science denomination. Explore our healing textbook and join in sharing this transforming book with friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.
