Participate in the Christian Science Annual Meeting 2026 at The Mother Church in Boston, MA or watch a live webcast online on your own or in groups at Churches & Reading Rooms. 

Each year, Annual Meeting brings Mother Church members together from around the world to hear reports from The Mother Church and updates from the Field (you!). The entire weekend is a meaningful way to connect with your Mother Church and feel the embrace of your global family.

Theme

“Ye are the light of the world. Let your light so shine. . . ,” (Matthew 5:14, 16) is the theme of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church for 2026.

Lodging

For any adult for whom the cost of lodging in Boston would keep them from attending Annual Meeting, basic dormitory lodging is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Annual Meeting will be offered in simultaneous interpretation in French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. A replay will be available within 24 hours of the conclusion of the meeting and will be available for one year.

Dear Members and Friends, One day, long ago, a great multitude gathered to hear Christ Jesus give what has come to be known as the Sermon on the Mount. His opening words reminded the listeners of what qualities of thought bring blessings, and why. During his sermon, Jesus told his disciples and the congregation that they were “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” He urged them not to let the salt lose its saltness, and to let their light shine in such a way that it not only would show their good works, but even more importantly, glorify God. Echoing this, Mary Baker Eddy, Founder of our Church and Discoverer of the Christ Science which Jesus taught and practiced, writes in the Christian Science textbook: “A Christian Scientist occupies the place at this period of which Jesus spoke to his disciples, when he said: ‘Ye are the salt of the earth.’ ‘Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.’ Let us watch, work, and pray that this salt lose not its saltness, and that this light be not hid, but radiate and glow into noontide glory” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 367). The theme for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church this year is taken from Jesus’ words: “Ye are the light of the world. . . . Let your light so shine . . .” (Matthew 5:14, 16). Our individual, daily practice of Christian Science, and our commitment to church, are crucial to letting this Christly light radiate and glow, as we “watch, work, and pray.” Annual Meeting will take place on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and online at christianscience.com/annualmeeting. In line with the Manual of The Mother Church, “reports of Treasurer, Clerk, and Committees, and general reports from the Field” will be given at the meeting (Mary Baker Eddy, p. 56). As valued members of The Mother Church, your presence in person or online is integral to the meeting, and we look forward very much indeed to welcoming you. We invite you to submit Field reports to the Clerk that show how the Christ light is shining in your healing practice and church experience. Submissions can be shared by emailing clerk@christianscience.com or by calling 617-450-3481.
