Christian Science is a Christian religion based on the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. We strive to love our neighbor and share a cup of cold water in Christ’s name. Our mission is to support healing for all mankind. Our goals include following the Golden Rule and doing our best to think as Jesus did.
And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure.

This religion is a way of life and spiritual thinking with healing based on prayer. It was discovered and founded by Mary Baker Eddy, a dedicated Bible student and author. It is not associated with Scientology, other churches, or cults.
Christian Science, understood, coincides with the Scriptures, and sustains logically and demonstratively every point it presents. Otherwise it would not be Science, and could not present its proofs. Christian Science is neither made up of contradictory aphorisms nor of the inventions of those who scoff at God. It presents the calm and clear verdict of Truth against error, uttered and illustrated by the prophets, by Jesus, by his apostles, as is recorded throughout the Scriptures.

Jesus instructed his disciples whereby to heal the sick through Mind instead of matter. He knew that the philosophy, Science, and proof of Christianity were in Truth, casting out all inharmony.
Note: Mind refers to God, the omnipotent Creator of the universe, not the human mind. Matter refers to the physical body and environment that we observe through the five physical senses.
The method of healing used by Christ Jesus and his disciples is a practice explained and demonstrated by Christian Science.
Jesus demonstrated the power of Christian Science to heal mortal minds and bodies. But this power was lost sight of, and must again be spiritually discerned, taught, and demonstrated according to Christ’s command, with ‘signs following.’ Its Science must be apprehended by as many as believe on Christ and spiritually understand Truth.

It is reliant upon the power of God and the Christ. The prayerful process of uplifting thought above the material picture to the spiritual truths of being brings healing now, just as it did centuries ago.
Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught his followers that his religion had a divine Principle, which would cast out error and heal both the sick and the sinning.

Christian Science Healing Testimonies
There are thousands of recorded healings in the Bible and in Christian Science publications. Many Christian Science healings have occurred by simply reading the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. This healing book is Eddy’s main body of work and a companion to the Bible. It contains sections on Genesis and Revelation, and is part of the Christian Science Weekly Bible Lesson. It also has a chapter called Fruitage, consisting of healing testimonies.
You will find a lot of love and support for your spiritual journey at any of our Churches or Reading Rooms. Churches hold services twice weekly, including a healing testimony meeting on Wednesdays.
Reading rooms are open varied hours according to location. We love visitors and are available to answer questions, and offer resources such as Bible study lessons and other publications from the Christian Science Publishing Society.
