September 7 to September 13 – What is truly lasting and secure? Real substance comes from God and cannot be lost.
What comes from God has a permanence that circumstances cannot take away. This spiritual view of substance points to what is truly lasting and dependable.
“I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it:”
Ecclesiastes 3:14
“Substance is that which is eternal and incapable of discord and decay.”
Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 468:17–18
