When life gets hard, it’s OK to cry out, “Help me, God!” God hears you. He is always with you and ready to help.
Maybe you feel scared, sad, or alone. But God’s love never leaves you. Even when things seem bad, God and His creations are still good—and you can trust He can bring the strength and comfort you need to face difficult times.
Why Talk to God When Life Is Hard?
God is your loving Father-Mother. He knows your needs before you even speak. You can pray and say, “God, help me,” and trust that He will guide you to an answer.
The Bible says:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
Many people in the Bible asked God for help. Moses led people out of slavery. Daniel was saved from lions. Jesus calmed storms and healed people. You can pray too—and feel God’s help today.
Christian Science Teaches How God Helps
Christian Science shows how God helps us through prayer and understanding. It teaches that we are made in God’s image—spiritual, safe, and good.
Mary Baker Eddy, who founded Christian Science, wrote a book called Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. It helps explain the Bible and how to turn to God when you feel lost or scared. One idea from her book says:
Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 494
That means God is always ready to answer when we say, “Help me.”

How Can I Feel God’s Help Right Now?
You don’t have to wait for a big moment to pray. You can ask for help anytime, anywhere.
Here are several ways to feel God’s help:
- Say, “God, help me feel your peace.”
- Read a Bible verse like, “The Lord is my shepherd.” (Psalm 23)
- Visit a Christian Science Reading Room to read the Bible Lesson or Science and Health.
- Call a Christian Science practitioner.
- Find a Sunday School.
- Read: Prayer for Mental Health & Loneliness.
- Watch YouTube: Finding the light that frees us from fear.
You Are Never Alone
Even if things feel dark, you can know this truth: God loves you. He made you strong, loving, and free. When you feel stuck or scared, turn to Him. Say, “Help me, God,” and trust that divine Love is already at work.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
Psalms 27:1
Let God light your way. Let His love help you today.
