Christian Science practitioners are spiritual healers
- A practitioner is a spiritual healer who devotes their life to helping others through prayer that is based on the Bible.
- They work one-on-one with individuals to provide prayer treatment that increases understanding of one’s relationship to God.
- Prayer brings inspiration to thought and helps people feel closer to God which can make healing achievable.
- All kinds of healings take place through Christian Science as evidenced in the many 1,000s of verified, published testimonies.

Find a Practitioner
Help is readily available
All kinds of healings occur through Christian Science treatment including physical, mental, emotional, financial and more. Treatment is also available for your animals and pets.
It’s easy to ask a Christian Science practitioner to pray for you. Practitioners are listed in The Christian Science Journal, a publication founded in 1883 by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. To be listed as a spiritual healer, practitioners must be approved by The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston.
These professionals are dedicated to the full-time practice of Christian Science healing, and work for a fee paid by the patient on a case-by-case basis. Prayer treatment can be given in person or remotely, and is based on the Bible and writings of Mary Baker Eddy.

Dr. Hammond was cured by Mrs. Eddy of a physical ailment after several doctors had pronounced his case incurable. He said:
“This Christian Science really is a return to the ideas of primitive Christianity. It would take a small book to explain fully all about it, but I may say that the fundamental idea is that God is Mind, and we interpret the Scriptures wholly from the spiritual or metaphysical standpoint. We find in this view of the Bible the power fully developed to heal the sick. It is not faith-cure, but it is an acknowledgment of certain Christian and scientific laws, and to work a cure the practitioner must understand these laws aright..” Dr. Hammond, Pulpit and Press, p. 69:13
