You will find love and understanding within our Christian Science community, which emphasizes the following commandments from Jesus’ teachings.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30, 31
A warm welcome
Our loving community welcomes you and offers joyful, open-minded kindness to newcomers and longtime members alike.
Loving our neighbor means embracing our community in our thoughts and prayers, and viewing everyone through the lens of love without fear. This warm positivity is a beautiful part of the Christian Science community.
When you visit a Christian Science church, reading room or event, you connect with your local community and with a growing worldwide community. We hope you feel welcome and are able to ask questions to help you understand God better and grow closer to Him.
Christian Science provides the tools and support you need when facing challenges, and your local church makes resources available in person. Branch churches also create a great atmosphere for finding joy and blessings in daily life. Every Wednesday, churches hold services where those attending share healings and gratitude.
Joy and a sense of community
It may seem impossible to find joy or hope in a difficult situation, but Christian Scientists can turn to their local community to find resilience. Through each other — the spiritual inspiration and warm support we bring — Christian Scientists can gain hope and strength to face hardships and find harmony. If you are looking for a community that will give you spiritual support and uplift, you can find a local Christian Science Church or Reading Room near you.
When it comes to larger gatherings, we recently had an inspiring international meeting at the first Christian Science church in the world, The Mother Church in Boston. It was not only a time to share church news and inspiring reports from Christian Scientists around the world, but a time to come together. You can feel a part of this annual gathering by watching replays of the Annual Meeting and inspiring weekend events leading up to the meeting. Watch replays.

Come and enjoy the peaceful, healing atmosphere at a church service, ask questions at a reading room, attend a talk, or watch the Annual Meeting replay.
If you can’t make it to the church services offered, many churches offer call-in and Zoom access. Every week you can read the Bible Lesson and know that people in our worldwide community are reading and praying with the same passages in support of each other.
