Trying to carry life’s burdens alone?

If you’re brand-new to Christian Science—or simply longing for a spiritual or church community—you are warmly invited to be part of our Prayer That Heals family.

A spiritual community is a place where people grow together through prayer, shared inspiration, and compassion. Our church community offers Bible-based support, healing, and fellowship for anyone seeking a deeper relationship with God.

You don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.

Psalm 55:22

Christian Science follows the teachings of the Bible and Christ Jesus. We strive to live by His command to “love your neighbor as yourself.” We see everyone as the perfect child of God (as Jesus did)—created in His likeness, whole and good. This spiritual view inspires us to love and support each other without judgment or bias, and to walk together on our spiritual journeys with compassion and understanding.

This is what makes our church community unique—spirituality isn’t just talked about, it’s practiced daily through love, healing, and prayer.

Christian Science does not preach in the traditional sense. Instead, we share messages from the Bible and the ideas from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. Twice each week—on Sunday and Wednesday—Bible readings and inspired writings are shared to help each of us see how God’s love and healing power apply in everyday life.

What do Christian Scientists believe?

Christian Science churches do not preach through a pastor. Instead, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science) are read together. These books are considered our “Pastors,” and readings are shared by elected members.

Christian Science churches are not political and take no positions on governmental issues. Each branch church is independently organized and self-governed by its members while following the Church Manual and weekly Bible Lessons from The Mother Church in Boston.

This shared, Bible-centered structure keeps the focus on healing, humility, and spiritual growth.
