Sometimes, in uncertainty, it is easy to feel as though there is no end to the struggles we and the world at large are facing. But this sort of fear loses sight of our resilience and the possibility of humankind realizing and experiencing God’s goodness here and now. Even when it seems impossible, there are always people striving and believing in the possibility of a better future. And following their example can help you live in hope and determination, instead of fear.
With God, all things are possible.

The Christian Science Monitor is a secular newspaper founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1908 to combat the biases that were plaguing journalism at the time. It continues in its mission to be a newspaper that provides honest coverage and uniting solutions.
In this goal, the Monitor is involved in three activities focused on how we can rebuild trust in ourselves, our world, and our fellow man. You are invited to view and attend.
1. Civility & Trust – Christian Science Monitor Conversation
Monitor editor Mark Sappenfield interviews Alexandra Hudson, author of “The Soul of Civility.”
Civility is not about politeness – as many people assume. Rather, it’s the unshakable conviction in every human being’s worth and the determination not to be goaded into thinking or acting otherwise.
2. Rebuilding Trust Project

The “Civility & Trust” conversation is a part of the Monitor’s special project on “Rebuilding trust.” Where is trust most needed? How can it be learned? Explore how people worldwide are navigating times of mistrust and discover how we can begin to build trust in each other.

More healing ideas
Holding ourselves and others to the expectation of goodness is prayer, and this sort of prayer changes the world. In her textbook on healing prayer, the Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, talks about Abraham’s example.
This patriarch illustrated the purpose of Love to create trust in good, and showed the life-preserving power of spiritual understanding.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures p. 579:12
