Christian Science is based on the Bible and on understanding our special relationship with God. It teaches that God is always good and always caring for us. It’s not about ignoring problems or pretending everything is okay. It’s about trusting God and learning more about how His love helps and heals us.
Mary Baker Eddy, the woman who discovered Christian Science, wrote that its power is positive and direct. That means the healing power of prayer works because God’s love is real and strong.

We don’t have to make things better by ourselves or try to fix things with prayer. God is already with us, helping us through every challenge. We don’t need to wish for healing—we can begin to see the good that God is always giving.
Jesus Christ showed us how this works. He healed through divine authority and a clear understanding of God’s power and love. He saw the spiritual perfection of each person, even when the world saw only sickness or sin. This wasn’t wishful thinking—it was spiritual truth, and it brought real, practical healing. That’s what Christian Science teaches us all to do, too.
