Did you know that spiritual freedom is something you can feel every day—no matter what’s going on in your life?

The Bible is full of stories about people who were in tough situations, but God helped them. Moses led people out of Egypt, Daniel stayed safe in a lions’ den, and Peter got out of prison. These stories show that God’s love brings freedom.

Finding Spiritual Freedom

Spiritual freedom means feeling free inside, even when life is hard. It’s the deep assurance that God is always with you, guiding and supporting you.

You don’t have to find that freedom alone. A woman named Mary Baker Eddy wrote a book called Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In it, she explains how turning to God and changing the way we think can free us from fear and trouble. She wrote that as we learn more about God’s love, wisdom, and truth, we can feel strong, safe, and free.

Love for God and man is the true incentive in both healing and teaching. Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action.

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 454:17–21

Sometimes, fear can feel overwhelming—but we don’t have to be afraid. Turning to God’s love brings peace and gives us the courage to make good choices. Rest assured, God is always shining light on our path. One Bible verse says:

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

Psalms 27:1

This verse reminds us that God is always with us. His presence helps us feel safe and free, bringing freedom, even when we’re scared or going through something difficult. When we feel worried or unsure, we can remember that God’s love is always guiding us and helping us see clearly.

The “light” in this verse stands for God’s wisdom, understanding, and healing power. It shows us the way forward.

We don’t have to stay afraid when we know we’re not alone. God is like a light that’s always shining for us. He gives us spiritual freedom—freedom from fear and anything that tries to hold us back. When we pray and trust God, we can keep going with courage, knowing that His love is always with us.

An Expansive Sense of Spiritual Freedom

Even if life is going well, there’s always more to learn about spiritual freedom. When we trust God, we feel more love, peace, and joy. And when we share that love with others, it grows even more.

You may have already felt spiritual freedom—when you forgave someone, helped a friend, or felt calm during a hard time. That’s God working through you.

There’s always more freedom to experience, and it begins with love.
